The celebration of my first Mother's Day began with "Muffins for Mom" on Friday morning in Brady's classroom. He presented me with my first Mother's Day card. Darling. We sat with our muffins and juice and chatted with his teachers for a while. I felt very special.
The celebration continued on Sunday with a visit to my favorite spot, The Flying Biscuit. Brady received much attention for being a sweet, happy boy. It was a beautiful day out so we grabbed our puppies and went for a long walk. I felt like a good mama until I realized how out of shape I've let my pups get. They were pooped! We watched some classic cable movies until we concluded that
we were wasting the beautiful day. We arrived at the patio of La Fonda just as the clouds rolled in. It didn't keep us from enjoying a margarita or two. Tim and I were successful in our planning to have NO grocery shopping or laundry going on during Mother's Day. It was a perfect day!
Brady wants to contribute to his own blog: sdgrtt8yuyu4r65rtfgcvb Ok, now he's back to baby toys. So, clearly, we did not know it was picture retake day. Had I known I would have dressed him in something "mommy cute." But check out this *classic* class photo! It's brilliant! Good job, Dad! The wardrobe selection couldn't have been better.Brady's teachers reported that he was one of the very few babies who didn't need a circus side show display in order to smile for the camera. If I didn't have a full time job I'd be VERY tempted to pimp this kid out for commercials and print-ad modeling. We brilliantly outsourced antibiotic administration to daycare this week. Why didn't we think of that before? Unfortunately, the Zithromax did not work for Brady. By Wednesday, Emma was sniffing his ears (talk about smelling trouble!) and he was really crying any time we laid him down. So we took him back into the doctor. After she scraped two big goops of wax out of his ears, she could see his right ear was still very much infected. So she prescribed Omnicef (generic is Cefdinir). Advantage of Omnicef is that it's only once per day. Drawback is that it turns poop red. Without advance warning you might think your baby's bottom is bleeding. Let's hope this round works. The doc said if the ear infections continue into the late spring/early summer we'll be having the "tubes talk." Yuck.
